 about

Art SUX Gallery is owned by Amy Thompson, artist and Siouxland resident. When the Benson Building closed, it left many artists, including Amy, studio-less. She wanted to create a similar space where artists could create and show work in one building. With an emphasis of artists creating on their own, yet having the opportunity to work with or be inspired by other artist’s—a collaborative, strong and supportive community— a welcoming home for art of all types, for all creatives and for the Siouxland community.

Art SUX Gallery became a reality when the first location opened in the Ho Chunk Center. to the public on December 19, 2019 with a Grand Opening Show.

The gallery moved Summer 2021, to the current location at 515 4th Street, two floors for more artist studios, main gallery, classroom space for Art SUX for Kids and connected to Hardline Coffee Company.

Artists' studios are open to the public Saturdays 10:00 am-1:00 pm. The main gallery is open to the public Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm and on Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am-2:00 pm.
