Art sux Gallery

Betty Skewis-Arnett is an Abstract Expressionist Artist who works primarily in oils.

She has spent her entire life working in the arts, mostly as a theatre professional. She was a Professor of Theatre at Morningside College for thirty years and now in her retirement is having time to paint. Her “Act II” has brought her back to her love of painting.

She has had a solo show at the college in 2017, at The Vangaurde Arts in 2019 and will have one at the Witter Gallery in Storm Lake in 2020.

Betty's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and a Minor in Studio Art from Morningside College; and Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design from University of Nebraska-Lincoln

She is excited to be part of Art SUX Gallery.
